From the 70's animated film Wizard's, I always loved Mike Ploog's background drawings from the film, some of which were heavily re-created in this and some are just other characters from the film I drew in there. I used Pat McMichael's shots for references so Pat...thanks for the great screengrabs. Four prismacolor pencil's used, Black, White, Red and Brown on tan textured paper.
Edit: Woops, I almost forgot that green pencil...okay five pencils used....for some reason that reminds me of the Mel Brooks skit...the Lord giving us these 15 (drop...crash)....10 Commandments!
Edit: Had to add a watermark. These characters are copyright Ralph Bakshi productions, this art is not being sold or reproduced as prints, it is strictly fan art.

This is an absolutely beautiful piece of art. "Wizards" is one of my favorite Bakshi films, and a favorite in general. I always thought Elinore was incredibly sexy. Did you study the Mike Ploog illustrations to get the look of this piece?

Thank you. I actually used some of Mike's compositions and just threw the characters in there... so it is a combination of both... and very much fan art as I love this little film.

Love Weehawk, just didn't include him here. I actually made a clay figure of Weehawk. he is on top of my computer screen staring at me right now....he looks angry.
