Running this back through.Working on my Sopranos pic but not done yet so wanted to submit something.
Chances are you know Bakshi's work,he is the film director/animator responsible for the cartoon Lord of the Rings from the 70's,Fritz the Cat,American Pop,Wizards,Cool World,Heavy Traffic,....as well as his tv cartoons such as the new adventures of Mighty Mouse, the mighty Heroes, even Deputy Dog.He has worked with Frank Frazetta on a film called Fire and Ice.This is prismacolor on textured paper, and kind of a companion drawing to my Robert Crumb.
Check his website it is great...

Ralph Bakshi was a one of the Biggest, Maddest Animators Around. He was a revolutionary animator but its such a shame that he retired. But i heard that he was going to make a sequel of Wizards and collaborate in a Fire & Ice live-action Re-make (Man! That would be awesome)

I remember some Terrytoons, Mighty Mouse, the Mighty Heroes and James Hound, still fun to watch after all those years :) I also remember he worked also on seasons 2-3 of the 1967-70 Spider-man series and the last season of Rocket Robin Hood.

Indeed...all great. Keep hoping they will release Mighty Heroes officially....source versions on DVD would be awesome. I bought a DVD on ebay, but they were just copied from old VHS tapes.
