OMG! This is stunning! It looks so much like a photo. I'm so in awe of your talent and skills. If you don't mind me asking though, do you use the hatching technique and then blend to get it looking that smooth? I use mostly the circulism technique and then blend to get an ultra smooth look, like I did on Amidala. Of course, it all depends on the paper. Some work better than others. I'm so glad you diredted me over to your scraps, though honestly, they all deserve to be in the gallery you know! I'll have to take a closer look at the rest of them now
That John Wayne in my scraps is deceiving, it is just a grayscale jpeg of the colored drawing in my regular gallery. I did that with pastel pencils which are quite easy to blend. For awhile there I wasn't doing anything new and just submitted some grayscales of my color work because I liked the way it looked in BW. When dealing with graphites my shading is a bit rough so I probably wouldnt be much help, I use the tortillans and that's pretty much it. I think your shading looks really smooth.
I love it!
